as jerusalem post office reportedtwo smoke bombs were fired at Cesaría's home Saturday night, causing a fire nearby.

Prime Minister Netanyahu was not at home. (The house was also attacked by Hezbollah drones a few weeks ago in an unrelated attack.

era of israel reported Wednesday local time:

One of them is Rear Admiral Ofer Doron (re), a former senior naval officer. Last year he announced that he would They failed to turn up for volunteer reserve duty in protest of the government's controversial justice reform plans and were suspended from the reserve accordingly.

The remaining two suspects are named as Amir Sadeh and Itai Yafeh, long-time anti-government protesters.

The suspects told police they did not intend to directly target the house.

Throughout 2023, left-wing demonstrators flocked to Israeli streets to protest reforms that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's coalition said were needed to balance the power of left-wing activists' courts. Some demonstrators, like many 18-year-olds in Israel, vowed never to join the reserves or even be drafted into the army.

Protests continued until October 7, when Hamas terrorists invaded the country. Critics of the protests say they are endangering national security by fomenting discord and refusal to serve in the military.

Some anti-Netanyahu protests have realigned with the movement to free Israeli hostages, but the main obstacle is Hamas, not the Israeli government.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned earlier this year that he was also the target of violent threats following the first US assassination attempt on Donald Trump.
