Suspect 'Mohamed Mohamed' Assaulted Unconscious Woman Near Church Before Her Death

Charges Filed in Nashville Assault Case

Authorities have charged a 39-year-old man, Mohamed Mohamed, following an alleged sexual assault of a woman outside a Nashville church on Thursday evening, shortly before her death.

The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department released a statement on Friday detailing the accusations against Mohamed, which include four counts of rape. He allegedly targeted a woman who was unconscious and had disabilities outside a church located on Norenceville Pike.

The investigation is ongoing, and it appears that there are questions regarding Mohamed’s immigration status, as mentioned by a local news source.

Tragically, the victim, a 34-year-old woman, was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she passed away soon after arrival. An autopsy is currently pending to determine the cause of death.

Details surrounding the incident have been provided by law enforcement. At around 9:30 PM, a crew from the Nashville Fire Station (engine 21) drove by Nolensville Pike, where they witnessed Mohamed attempting to pull up the victim’s pants. Firefighters intervened, detained him, and summoned police assistance while attending to the victim.

Surveillance footage shows the woman stumbling towards the church, seemingly under the influence of something. In the video, she attempts to fend him off but ultimately loses consciousness. Mohamed then dragged her down and assaulted her repeatedly.

According to additional reports, the footage reveals the victim repeatedly trying to push Mohamed away during the attack. The incident occurred near Nashville Life Church, and a nearby worker expressed shock over the event.

Currently, Mohamed’s bond has been set at $300,000, and he has been booked at Metro prison.
