Suspected Venezuelan Assassin Taken into Custody by ICE in Texas

ICE Arrests Venezuelan Fugitive Wanted for Multiple Killings

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), alongside other federal entities, has apprehended a man allegedly involved in multiple contract killings in Venezuela. This arrest took place on May 2 in Grapevine, Texas, where officials detained a Venezuelan national who entered the U.S. during the Biden administration.

“This fugitive is charged with extremely serious offenses and poses a significant danger to the Texas community, which we will not accept,” stated Josh Johnson, the director of the Dallas field office for ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations. “ICE Dallas is committed to enhancing public safety by addressing the threat posed by criminal foreigners.”

ICE learned in February that 42-year-old Anthony Fabian Marine Ratre was wanted by Venezuelan authorities for allegedly killing four individuals. His arrest, part of the North Texas Organized Crime Task Force’s operations, was announced almost three months later.

Marine La Torre reportedly entered the U.S. illegally near San Luis, Arizona, as part of a family unit on September 26, 2022. According to the CBP National Meet Report, he was one of 25,495 undocumented migrants who crossed into the Yuma sector from Mexico that month, with about 9,100 categorized as family units. An ICE official indicated that Marine La Torre was classified as an “unacceptable alien” at that time.

“FBI Dallas, in collaboration with the OCDETF Strike Force in North Texas, is dedicated to maintaining safety in our communities,” officials remarked. “We will continue to use vital resources for analyzing, researching, and tactically identifying dangerous offenders to bring them to justice.”
