Sidney Sweeney Addresses Plastic Surgery Rumors
In a recent video with Allure, Sidney Sweeney tackled rumors surrounding her supposed plastic surgery, specifically responding to fans who felt she wasn’t being honest about it. Co-starring alongside Amanda Seyfried, Sweeney took the opportunity to set the record straight about her appearance.
“Let me just clarify, I’ve never had any work done,” Sweeney stated plainly. She admits to being quite fearful of needles, saying, “I’m so scared of needles, but you never know.” A few months back, she shared a similar sentiment with Variety, noting, “I don’t get tattoos. I don’t have any.”
Reflecting on her journey in Hollywood, Sweeney mentioned how different she looks now compared to her early days. “You really can’t compare a picture from when I was 12 to one from when I’m 26, with all the professional makeup and lighting.” She humorously added, “Everyone on social media is crazy,” pointing to the unrealistic standards often portrayed online.
Seyfried humorously noted that as time goes on, certain treatments can be effective, to which Sweeney quipped, “If that happens…I’ll call you.” Seyfried, who also began her career young, jokingly suggested that she’d give Sweeney some Ativan when the time comes. Sweeney, light-heartedly, responded, “I’ll call you,” conveying her awareness of the industry pressures.
Wrapping up their conversation, Sweeney joked about her past wakeboarding accident—remarks about how it affected her appearance, saying, “If I did that, you guys, my face would be flat.” Furthermore, she clarified that the only surgical procedure she had ever considered was, in fact, a breast reduction, which she had thought about during her high school years. She explained, “I was uncomfortable with my large breasts and often talked about getting a reduction when I turned 18.” Her mother advised her against it, and looking back, Sweeney expressed her gratitude, adding, “I love them. They’re my best friends.”
