Sylvester Stallone Prefers Florida Over California
Actor Sylvester Stallone shared that he has no regrets about relocating from California to Florida, expressing that the latter fits his personality much better. “I love it,” the 79-year-old actor said.
He mentioned enjoying the clean air and proximity to water, which brings joy to both him and his wife. “It makes my wife incredibly happy. It makes me happy too,” he added.
Stallone isn’t new to Florida; he attended the University of Miami, where he majored in Drama. He stated, “I went to college there for a few years, so I’m not a stranger to the environment, but that’s much better for my personality.”
His wife, Jennifer Flavin, articulated enthusiasm about their move, stating, “It’s an incredible move. I have to say that I’m really happy with our movements and changes.” She noted that even though she was born and raised in California, changes in their family situation made the transition to Florida feel right. “Some of our best friends have also moved, so I think it’s what it is. Good changes, just make new friends and live a completely different lifestyle. I love it. I’m really happy.”
Interestingly, Flavin clarified that their decision wasn’t driven by crime, saying, “There’s crime everywhere, there’s crime in Florida, so we didn’t move because of the crime. You can find it anywhere, even in a small town.” She expressed that California remains a beautiful state, but felt it was time for a change. “I think California is probably the most beautiful state in the United States. I love it, but it needed to be changed. I felt like I was there long enough, and life is short so I wanted to make a difference, not just sitting at the house for the rest of my life.”
