Tapper hits Hannity for anti-Biden rhetoric after State of the Union: ‘Pick a lane’

CNN anchor Jake Tapper slammed Fox News’ Sean Hannity over his reaction to President Biden’s State of the Union address.

Tapper took aim at Hannity’s anti-Biden comments, accusing him of chewing through the speech and changing his criticism of the president to serve Republican causes.

“Before the speech, Republicans were saying that Mr. Biden was old, timid, gaffe-prone, senile and a pushover,” Tapper said on CNN. Introduced by Mediaitebefore showing a clip of Hannity calling the president a “jacked-up Joe” during a speech to Congress.

The FOX News host quickly responded on X, formerly known as Twitter, calling him “Fake Jake.”

The exchange comes as Republicans use Biden’s age and mental acuity as a rallying point for the 2024 presidential election, arguing that Biden is too old to serve another four years.
