CNN anchor Jake Tapper slammed Fox News’ Sean Hannity over his reaction to President Biden’s State of the Union address.
Tapper took aim at Hannity’s anti-Biden comments, accusing him of chewing through the speech and changing his criticism of the president to serve Republican causes.
“Before the speech, Republicans were saying that Mr. Biden was old, timid, gaffe-prone, senile and a pushover,” Tapper said on CNN. Introduced by Mediaitebefore showing a clip of Hannity calling the president a “jacked-up Joe” during a speech to Congress.

Hannity made several comments Thursday night that took aim at the president’s passionate nature. After address analysisincluding calling it “very overhyped and weird.”
He argued that Biden’s speech contrasted with the president’s usual day-to-day personality and accused the incumbent of “overcompensating” him during the speech.
The FOX News host quickly responded on X, formerly known as Twitter, calling him “Fake Jake.”

The exchange comes as Republicans use Biden’s age and mental acuity as a rallying point for the 2024 presidential election, arguing that Biden is too old to serve another four years.
