Tara Reid Claims She Was Drugged at Hotel Bar
Tara Reid is considering taking legal action after alleging that she was drugged at a hotel bar. According to a police report submitted to the Rosemont Police on Tuesday, the 50-year-old actress stated she was “completely blacked out” following an encounter with a stranger who supposedly “pranked” her with a drink at the DoubleTree Hotel in Rosemont, Illinois.
The report, which was shared with Fox News Digital, noted that Reid observed “numerous people in the lobby who seemed to be YouTubers.” She remarked, “I had my phone out, and everything felt suspicious, though I wasn’t fully aware of what was happening.”
Tara Reid Discusses Her Encounter
Reid recounted that she ordered a glass of white wine when a man named Sean P., described as a “very successful influencer and YouTuber,” approached her, introducing himself. They went outside for a cigarette break, exchanged phone numbers, and, upon returning to the bar, Reid noticed her drink had a napkin placed over it.
“The last thing I remember is having that drink and seeing the couple next to me. Then, suddenly, I woke up in the hospital after around eight hours,” she explained to the police. “I had no idea where I was or what had happened. I was completely unconscious.”
Police Involvement and Next Steps
Authorities responded to the scene at about 12:39 a.m. According to the report, the influencer allegedly sent Reid a video the following day, which she believed was an attempt at blackmail. He reportedly stated, “You can stop the video. I’m going out.”
Concluding her statement to police, Reid indicated, “I am prepared to press charges.” The Rosemont Department of Public Safety emphasized their commitment to thoroughly investigating the allegations, noting they are currently gathering video surveillance from the hotel.
Reid, who was in Chicago for Comic-Con at the time, appeared to be confused and disoriented in snippets captured on video as she was helped into a wheelchair. Eyewitnesses reported seeing her clinging to other hotel guests, with paramedics later transporting her out on a stretcher amid cheers from onlookers.
Sources suggested that Reid had been at the bar to enjoy drinks and cigarettes, and upon returning from outside, she noticed the napkin on her wine glass, which she found peculiar. After taking a couple of sips, she lost consciousness, waking up in a hospital. Accompanied by her representative, Reid later returned home to Los Angeles.
“She is very concerned about the potential dangers of leaving drinks unattended and has been understandably shaken by this incident,” a source shared.
