Crab Stuffed Salmon by Bake It With Love

Servings: 6 people
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes

Creamy, cheesy tortellini with Italian sausage and spinach: “a very comforting dish”

material:

  • 24 oz salmon fillets (6 skinless salmon fillets, 4 oz each)
  • 4 ounces cream cheese (softened at room temperature)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon lemon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (add a pinch to sprinkle on top later)

Make a slit in the center of the salmon fillet to create a gap for the delicious crab to rest. (St. Petersburg)

  • 1/2 teaspoon each, salt, pepper (to taste)
  • 6 ounces crab meat (canned, drained)
  • 2 tablespoons bread crumbs (or regular bread crumbs)
  • 1/2 tablespoon fresh parsley (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 tablespoon green onion (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (freshly grated)

Spoon the crab into the fillets and add the remaining mixture on top of the salmon to ensure you get delicious crab in every bite. (Angela at Bake It with Love)

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, add 1 large egg, 4 ounces cream cheese, 1 tablespoon mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon lemon pepper, 1 teaspoon paprika, and 1/2 teaspoon each salt and pepper. Whisk until well mixed.
  2. Add 6 ounces of crabmeat, 2 tablespoons of breadcrumbs, 1/2 tablespoon of green onion, and 1/2 tablespoon of fresh parsley. Mix slowly until combined.
  3. Stir in 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Once mixed, chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C/Gas Mark 4) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  1. Rinse 24-ounce salmon fillets and pat dry with paper towels. Place salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
  2. Using a sharp knife, carefully cut down the center of each fillet, making a hole in the center (be careful not to cut all the way through, just about halfway)..
  3. Using a small spoon, spoon the mixture into the salmon fillets and add the rest over the center of the fillets. Sprinkle with additional paprika if desired.
  4. Place in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C/Gas Mark 4) for 15-18 minutes. For the best results, sear the fillets for 1 to 2 minutes when they are almost done.
  5. Remove from the oven and garnish with a little freshly grated Parmesan and parsley, if desired. Serve immediately.
