Taylor Strecker auditioned for 'RHONJ' at the start of 'House of Stassi'

Taylor Strecker was in the midst of auditioning for ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey’ when she made an appearance on Stassi Schroeder’s new Hulu series, House of Stassi.

“While we were in the early phases of ‘House of Stassi,’ I got asked to interview for ‘The Real Housewives of Jersey,'” the podcast host of “Taste of Taylor” shared exclusively with Page Six’s “Virtual Reality.”

Strecker, who has been close friends with Schroeder for over a decade, is set to star in Schroeder’s new series, which launches on Hulu on July 30.

During her visit to the Page Six studios, Strecker mentioned that the show was already somewhat in the works when she received the call from Bravo about the audition.

Strecker, 39, noted that House of Stassi was already “a little bit up for grabs” at the time, but Schroeder, 38, encouraged her to still go for the audition with Bravo.

“She’s the best friend I’ve ever had,” Strecker said enthusiastically. “She told me, ‘You have to go, it’s ‘Housewives.’ Let’s give it our all and see how it pans out. Don’t stress. Live the dream.’ So, I did.”

Unfortunately, she hasn’t received any feedback from Bravo regarding her audition yet.

“This is the crucial part about auditions: you never really get a rejection notice, so I’m still waiting!” she added during her chat with “VRT.”

Season 15 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey began filming this spring after nearly three years without new episodes, so it seems doubtful that she’ll be getting that call anytime soon.

In March, Bravo confirmed that Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, and Dolores Catania would be the only original cast members returning for the upcoming season, alongside a new group dubbed The Housewives of the Garden State.

Strecker is busy with “House of Stassi,” which features Schroeder’s husband Beau Clark, former “Vanderpump Rules” star Katie Maloney, and ex-SUR waitress Christina Kelly, who also appeared in the earlier seasons of “Pump Rules.”

A radio expert dismissed rumors that the new show is scripted, stating, “It’s just the opposite. Your job is to be authentic. A producer once offered this good advice: ‘If you think it, say it.’

“House of Stassi” is set to premiere on Freeform on July 29 and will stream on Hulu the following day.
