According to multiple reports, a 34-year-old man from the US was detained in Germany earlier this week for allegedly making threats against Taylor Swift and her boyfriend Travis Kelcy.
The stalker’s arrest came ahead of Swift’s first concert, in Gelsenkirchen on Wednesday. According to the Associated Press.
Kelsey was also in attendance. He was spotted holding hands with Swift after the concert.
The threats were allegedly made on social media.
The man’s identity has not been released, but the Associated Press reports he was in possession of a concert ticket and was detained “during an admissions check for the event,” and will be held in custody until Saturday, after Swift’s final performance in the city.
This isn’t the first time Swift has been plagued by a stalker.
David Crowe was arrested twice over a three-day period in New York City (where the singer owns an apartment) earlier this year.
