Taylor Swift’s Friends Take Sides in Unexpected Feud

This past weekend, two of Taylor Swift’s close friends, Cara Delevingne and Ed Sheeran, surprised many by supporting Charli XCX in the ongoing feud with Swift. The situation heated up when Swift, 35, seemed to express some disdain towards Charli, 33, during her segment on “Actually Romantic.”

The trio was spotted posing for a cheerful group photo with actress Rachel Sennott at the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday. Delevingne took to Instagram to share the moment, humorously commenting, “@theacademy gala dumpster! Scroll through to reveal the truth behind the glitz and glamour,” referencing a torn dress.

Delevingne looked stunning in a sparkling Tamara Ralph gown, while Sheeran opted for a classic black tuxedo. Interestingly, Charli seemed to throw shade at Swift with her recent hit “Sympathy Is a Knife,” which includes lyrics that hint at anxiety issues—possibly alluding to Swift.

This comes shortly after Swift’s apparent jab at Charli in “Actually Romantic,” a track from her album *Life of a Showgirl.* Although Charli hasn’t publicly addressed the situation, she did skirt around it in a Vanity Fair interview, where she criticized tour documentaries similar to Swift’s upcoming film.

In her lyrics, Swift appeared to compare Charli to a “toy Chihuahua barking at me from my little purse,” showcasing the tension between them. Delevingne and Swift have been friends since 2013 and even lived together for a while, but they’ve had their ups and downs over the years. Delevingne also shares a long-standing friendship with Sheeran, dating back to 2012.

However, recent reports suggest that both of these friendships are currently “strained.” Sheeran was said to be upset when Swift released her album soon after his latest song, and when news of Swift’s engagement to Travis Kelsey broke, Sheeran revealed on *The Tonight Show* that he found out like everyone else—through social media. Swift later clarified that Sheeran doesn’t actually have a cell phone, adding a humorous twist to the moment.
