Controversial Teacher Remains Employed Despite Foot-Licking Incident

A high school coach and teacher in Auburn, Washington, continues to work despite a video that reportedly shows him either “licking” or “pretending to lick” a student’s foot during a team event, according to Seattle radio host Jason Lantz.

The unnamed teacher was reportedly dismissed from his position as head coach of the boys’ soccer team after the video surfaced in March, which depicted him interacting inappropriately with a “male student-athlete.” This incident allegedly took place at a team dinner during the 2025 season.

“On March 4, 2026, we received a call regarding a video showing an interaction between a coach and a student at a team event during the 2025 football season,” the Auburn School District stated in a communication to Seattle Red.

“The coach was put on leave the following day. The district referred the situation to the Office of Professional Practice on March 18,” the statement went on. “After a review by human resources, it was decided that he would not return as a coach, although he remains contracted as a certified employee. As this is a personnel issue, we will not provide further details.”

Despite losing his coaching position, the teacher continues to teach math, even amid further claims of disruptions and unrest in his classroom. Reports highlight that concerning behavior has emerged, including a former student recalling incidents where the teacher made derogatory comments about women during class, expressing inappropriate sentiments that seemed fueled by personal issues.
