One lucky teacher may have received the best gift of all for Valentine's Day: egg cartons are experiencing a shortage in the country.
“I got an egg from a student as a Valentine's Day present,” says a teacher. Share With reddit.
Although egg supply has been historically limited, the country is tackling highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI), more commonly known as avian influenza. This has led to higher egg prices at grocery stores and restaurants.
Redditors were excited by the teacher's post.
“At these prices, I'm actually excited,” one user wrote.
“I saw a lot of egg prices starting at $14 the other day. It doesn't seem to be that flashy. Luckily, I'm jealous,” another said. I did.
“Our grocery store has sold out from eggs for a few weeks. Our friends are really grateful for the eggs we don't spare. I think this was a great gift. Your students are You have to think very high up on you,” the third commentator said.

USDA Secretary Brook Rollins told Breitbart News Washington Director Matthew Boyle that the Trump administration is focusing on lowering egg prices.
“But it's been the last four years that absolutely spiked egg prices, and we know that more regulation and tax-increasing approaches have spiked costs for everyone, so it's surprising. No,” Rollins told Breitbart News.
She continued. “I still don't want to cast a finger of blame or point, but I knew this bird flu was a problem for the past few years. A year ago? I'm still trying to understand. But we is working on that. We are working on that. And we are going to do everything we can to deal with it.”
The newly-built Federal Trade Commission (FTC) chair Andrew Ferguson took him to appoint Commissioner Alvaro Bedoya to claim he was doing nothing to combat the egg crisis .
“You were on the committee for most of the Biden-Harris administration, so I thought you knew that eggs and poultry were traditionally within the enforcement realm of the DOJ rather than the FTC. And that But for years, I thought it was the reason you absolutely didn't do anything about the rise in egg prices. Egg prices skyrocketed under Biden,” Ferguson wrote. “The whole country suffered. But you didn't start an investigation. There are no lawsuits. There are no studies. There are no eggs. There are no posts. Now we're receiving the post.”
Ferguson continues:
You spend a lot of time on social media, so I'll lay out some basic facts here: The Biden Harris administration has killed over 100 million chickens. Killing lots of chickens will result in less eggs. President Trump's administration is opposed to the mass murder of Biden for this reason and proposes alternative security measures. That's a good start. However, farmers cannot “reconstruct” their flocks by snapping their fingers. It takes most of the year to recreate a herd. That's how long farmers take when Biden isn't killing the birds.
And what have you done about this Biden Harris egg crisis? There is absolutely nothing. And this is the kicker. The Senate asked them to investigate the rise in egg prices two years ago. Check out this letter from Senator Reid. So did the same group you did the work you quote and screenshot. Check their letters.
Ferguson added: That's right, you filed a lawsuit three days before Biden left the job in an attempt to raise grocery prices. Where was the price of the eggs? ”
“Americans have been struggling under Biden Harris' inflation for four years. You did nothing to help them. Your screed a month after President Trump took office is It's the politics of performance. That's why the Americans dumped your party out of power,” Ferguson concluded. “Americans don't want civil servants who whine like kids on social media after not doing anything for years. They want adults who try to solve problems. Adults go to work. I'm back. I recommend you do the same thing.”
