William Martin, a spokesman for Republican vice presidential candidate Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), said that under former President Donald Trump, “American workers were safer and wealthier.” Ordinary Teamsters told Breitbart News they knew.
Internal polling by the Teamsters shows he has a lead among rank-and-file members of Congress over Vice President Kamala Harris. Nearly 60% of Teamsters sampled in the Sept. 9-15 poll supported Mr. Trump, while only 31% supported Ms. Harris. Additionally, Trump leads Harris and Teamsters members in every state.
“It’s no wonder that ordinary Teamsters support President Trump. It's just a rejection of Kamala Harris' policies of attrition,” Martin said. Breitbart News reported in a statement.
He added, “Pennsylvania has the highest year-on-year grocery inflation rate in the nation at 8.2%, and Harris's EV mandate and pro-China trade policies are putting pressure on workers across the country.''
Martin said the Teamsters will definitely vote for Trump because American workers were better off during the first Trump administration than they are today.
“When President Trump was in office, American workers were safer and wealthier. Rank-and-file workers know that. So they ignored their union bosses, and Trump v. Vance on November 5th. “I will vote on the ticket,” he said. .
The Teamsters chose not to formally endorse a candidate in the election, marking the first time since 1996 that they did not endorse a Democratic presidential candidate. This was a huge blow to Harris. That same year, the union failed former President Bill Clinton over the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), which no one supported. Mr. Clinton had their support in 1992.
But this year's disapproval is reminiscent of 1988, when he rejected Democratic presidential candidate Michael Dukakis. Instead, support was given to Republican presidential candidate George H.W. Bush, who would win 41 states in the general election.
