May has been a bit like Christmas for Hollywood celebrities after a New York City jury found former President Donald Trump guilty on all 34 charges in his business records case.
Though an appeal is certain (President Trump said after the ruling that “it’s not over yet”), stars flocked to celebrate the lawsuit, which was brought by the Soros-funded Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D), who was in court on Thursday.
“Tears of joy,” wrote an emotional Kathy Griffin.
“God Bless New York City!” Ellen Barkin tweeted excitedly.
“We all support justice. No one is above the law!” declared John Leguizamo.
Barbra Streisand joined in, telling voters, “We must never let this criminal near the White House again.”
Speaking after the verdict, Trump called the trial a “rigged and dishonorable trial” and said the “real verdict” would be handed down on Election Day in November, as reported by Breitbart News. “I’m a totally innocent man,” Trump said, referring to President Joe Biden as a “loafers” who are using the justice system as a weapon against political opponents.
“We will win,” Trump said of the appeals process. “We will fight for the Constitution. It’s not over yet.”
Judge Marchan has scheduled the sentence for July 11, just four days before the Republican National Convention.
Celebrities carried party baubles on Thursday, led by comedian Kathy Griffin, who once held up a model of Trump’s decapitated head for a public photo op.
Thank you for saying that, that was awful and so was he.

Convicted felon Donald Trump blames the judge, jury, and New York for convicting him on 34 charges. He will never accept responsibility for his crimes. The American people should never allow this felon anywhere near the White House again. https://t.co/UcFfAU3bv5

Actor and comedian DL Hughley agreed.
It’s odd that one felony conviction can bar someone from holding federal office, but 34 doesn’t stop someone from running for president. #Team DL

It wasn’t politicians or partisan people who convicted him, it was ordinary citizens vetted by his own lawyers, that’s how the system works.
