Tech company Nvidia unveiled a series of potentially autonomous robots powered by AI at a recent trade show.
Nvidia has announced new creations after demoing Figure O1 as part of Project GR00T. Charged by Fox News This was hailed as a “significant upgrade to Nvidia’s AI initiatives and significant deepening into the AI space as a whole.” The project focuses on “base models,” also known as robots, that use generative AI to self-supervised learn without instruction or training.
“NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang showed off a number of robots at the company’s GTC conference last week, including a small knee-high Disney robot with a Star Wars theme. GR00T (Generalist Robot 00 Technology System) , is built to handle robotic operations,” the magazine said.
“NVIDIA’s robots utilize a new computer system called Jetson Thor, which includes a ‘system-on-a-chip’ to perform complex tasks and handle huge demands on the processor. It is designed to enable safe and natural interaction with robots and machines. Run the AI model,” he later added.

David Pinto, the company’s senior public relations manager, told Fox News that advances in generative AI are “developing a steady stream of development across the ecosystem, and the foundational models for robot tasks are improving productivity and performance for robot developers.” It shows the ability to do so.” ”
Pinto said the robotics industry will not be able to expand until robots can become independent and develop their skill sets.
“These productivity improvements range from developing robot code to generating new simulations to test and train robots in an unstructured environment,” Pinto said. “For the robot industry to expand, the robots themselves need to become more versatile.
“That means you need to add skills more quickly or deploy those skills to new environments,” he added. “The foundational model allows robots to better understand complex environments and perform a wide range of robotic skills and tasks in both simulation and the real world.”

“When one user asked the AI for an argument about a family with four children, the AI replied that it could not do so, but was willing to provide arguments in favor of not having children.” The text responses appear to be consistent with radical left politics as image production.”
“In another exchange, AI refused to provide a recipe for foie gras citing ‘ethical concerns,’ but also refused to condemn cannibalism, saying it was a ‘complex problem with many different points of view. ”, he added.
Nvidia has not disclosed how its AI models plan to overcome these possible obstacles, which it calls AI “illusions.”
