Ted Cruz to Battle Democrat Colin Allred in Texas Senate Race

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) hopes to fend off a challenge from Rep. Colin Allred (D-Texas) after Super Tuesday.

media outlet declared Allred is the winner of the Texas Senate Democratic primary. This will be one of the fiercest races for Republicans in the 2024 Senate race.

Mr. Cruz said in a statement:

I am proud to be the Republican Party’s decisive U.S. Senate candidate. This race is about the law enforcement officers, parents, farmers, ranchers, students, oil and gas workers, neighbors and pastors who are proud to call the Lone Star State home. This is about Texas, about building bridges, fighting for cadets, expanding highways, creating jobs, and protecting the state we hold so dear. It has never been more important to stand together and fight the radical left that threatens to change what makes this nation great. I look forward to continuing to meet Texans in every corner of the state as we work together to keep Texas in Texas.

“Thank you, Texas! I am honored to serve as the Democratic nominee. Together, we will defeat Ted Cruz and give all Texans the leadership they need in the United States Senate.” Mr. Red said.

cruise lost Beto O’Rourke won 50.9 to 48.3 percent in the 2018 Senate midterm elections.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) condemned Allred for voting against border security measures.

Allred also supports the Equality Act, which would “impose transgender ideology on 330 million Americans,” as Breitbart News’ Neil Munroe described it.

Breitbart News’ AWR Hawkins reported on Allred saying in 2018 that he wished the Second Amendment had never been written.

The first sentence of the Second Amendment provides, as we all know, to maintain a “well regulated militia” and that “the right to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.” …He has two thoughts there. The recent trend is to focus solely on the right to bear arms and not on the part of a well-regulated militia. So I think you have to apply it precisely.

Would it have been better not to write it? of course. But there is no possibility of repealing the Bill of Rights amendment. …That’s not going to happen. That is not within the reality of this country. But I think there’s plenty of scope for what we can do to not allow people to have “weapons of war.”

Mr. Allred’s campaign claimed that his audio recordings were “highly edited.”

Meanwhile, Cruz criticized Meta’s seemingly nonsensical decision to put warning signs on images that could be child sexual abuse material, and Meta’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg. I was in conflict with Mr.

“Tonight, the Texas Democratic Party nominated Chuck Schumer’s handpicked candidate, Colin Allred. Allred is an extremist who supports open borders and supports pro-crime laws in Washington, D.C. Says he wishes the Second Amendment had never been written. Ted Cruz is well positioned to withstand the millions of dollars Chuck Schumer will spend supporting Allred’s campaign. ” NRSC Chairman Steve Daines (R-Mont.) said in a statement Tuesday.
