In November 2023, an arrest was made in connection with the break-in of a Secret Service vehicle parked in front of Naomi Biden’s home in Washington, DC.

Robert Kemp, 19, was arrested for the Nov. 12 incident outside a home occupied by President Biden’s granddaughter in the Georgetown area, according to court documents first obtained Wednesday by FOX 5 DC. He was detained on February 7th following an investigation. He was released on February 8, the New York Post reported.

According to an arrest affidavit dated Feb. 6, Kemp is charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle and first-degree theft.

Kemp is accused of stealing a speed system police vest, night vision goggles, a MiFi portable router, a red trauma cube filled with first aid equipment, a battery headlamp, and multiple items from an unmarked black Ford Expedition. ing. chemical stick.

According to the affidavit, the vehicle fee fraud stems from Kemp’s alleged use of a stolen red Toyota Corolla as a getaway car to break into a Secret Service vehicle.

The Corolla with Virginia tags was reported stolen from Washington, D.C., and its rightful owner was contacted and gave permission to the Secret Service for processing.

While processing the Corolla, some of the items reported stolen from the Expedition during the break-in were identified, and Kemp’s fingerprints were found on a McDonald’s bag and receipt inside the vehicle.

The unidentified boy’s fingerprints were also collected from stolen items inside the Corolla. The second person was confirmed to have been on court-ordered GPS monitoring during that time and was in Naomi Biden’s neighborhood the night of the break-in, according to the affidavit.

The second suspect, a 14-year-old boy, was arrested and charged on February 15 with three counts of armed carjacking in connection with carjackings in January and February, The Washington Post reported. Ta.

According to the affidavit, a Secret Service agent assigned to the president’s granddaughter approached the person who was allegedly hanging from the broken rear window on the driver’s side of the Expedition and identified himself as a police officer.

The suspect then got into the passenger side of the getaway vehicle to flee. The affidavit states that the vehicle nearly hit the Secret Service agent as he backed away from the scene, and the agent fired his weapon. The Secret Service said at the time that no victims were believed to have been injured in the shooting.
