An Oklahoma teenager was killed on his way to a Kansas City Chiefs game over the weekend after his mother surprised him with tickets as a birthday present, police and relatives said.
Connor Barba, 18, and his mother, Megan Barnett, were driving from Norman on Route 169 in Kansas around 4 p.m. Saturday when they were struck by the driver of a Chevrolet Camaro heading in the opposite direction. The family said in a GoFundMe post that the father-son duo was on their way to the Chiefs' prime-time game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after Barnett surprised his son with tickets for his birthday.
