Teen worker Kamel Seveion Sewell dies in go-kart crash at South Carolina amusement park

A teenage worker was killed Friday when the go-kart he was driving collided with an industrial-sized forklift at an amusement park in South Carolina, and the victim's family is demanding answers.

Kamel Seveion Sewell, 17, died from blunt force trauma to the head after a go-kart and forklift collided at Frankie's Fun Park around 11:45 p.m., according to the Medical Examiner's Office. Wife reported.

The coroner's office announced Sunday that the boy's death was ruled an accident.

“He always had a smile on his face,” a colleague said in memory of Sewell, the station said.

“He was a very kind person, very nice and friendly to the guests, nice and friendly to us and his colleagues. “This happened in a situation that could have been easily avoided. I'm really sorry that it happened.”

The forklift was being operated by another park employee.

Sewell worked at the park for about a year before his tragic death.
