Missing Texas Teen Believed to Be in Immediate Danger
Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar expressed serious concerns for Camila Mendoza Olmos, a 19-year-old who vanished on Christmas Eve. He stated that authorities think she may be “in immediate danger.”
According to Salazar, the FBI is assisting with technical support while the Department of Homeland Security monitors border crossings and international travel. He mentioned to a news source, “We definitely don’t want to miss anything,” indicating that the search area is limited, and there’s a chance the situation might extend beyond U.S. borders.
Camila, a resident of Texas, was last seen outside her home in San Antonio. The sheriff confirmed to a news agency that she is not in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, despite being a U.S. citizen. “That was a personal concern,” he explained, noting the need to check whether she was detained or in a federal center.
Her disappearance came to light when she left her residence at around 6:58 a.m. on December 24, 2025. An unidentified individual was later seen searching her vehicle in a video before it ended, leading authorities to conclude that she likely left on foot, as her car remained parked where it was last seen.
Reportedly, the only items she had were her car keys and possibly her driver’s license. Her mother mentioned that Camila often takes morning walks but began to worry when she didn’t return at the usual time.
The sheriff’s office also noted what she was last wearing: a baby blue outfit combined with a black hoodie, baby blue pajama bottoms, and white shoes. As the investigation continues, authorities remain hopeful that information will surface to help locate her.
