Teenager Who Identifies As Genderfluid Arrested For Allegedly Trying To Set Local GOP Committee Office On Fire

Molotov Cocktail Incident at Republican Office in Michigan

Over the weekend, Michigan State Police arrested a 19-year-old, Zayn Arkand, for allegedly throwing Molotov cocktails into the headquarters of the Dickinson County Republican Committee (DCRC) in Iron Mountain, Michigan.

Initial witness accounts described the suspect attempting to ignite a rag protruding from a glass bottle before hurling it through the building’s windows. Police later verified these reports by reviewing security footage, according to local authorities.

Arkand, who is currently in custody, appeared in court on Monday. Law enforcement officials noted that he threw a glass bottle containing a flammable liquid, which shattered upon impact.

Officers later found another glass bottle in the parking lot, with rags sticking out and an unspecified liquid inside it.

After analyzing surveillance footage, police were able to identify Arkand and subsequently tracked him down at his residence. According to a police statement, he confessed to creating the Molotov cocktails in his driveway and intended to convey a message about corruption.

Arkand faces charges related to the creation and possession of Molotov cocktails, as well as intent to damage property.

The DCRC expressed gratitude for the swift action by the Iron Mountain Police, emphasizing their hope for stringent legal repercussions against the suspect. They also voiced concerns about the rising threat of political violence, mentioning ongoing tensions in the political landscape.

On a related note, Arkand has made himself known on social media platforms, particularly through a YouTube channel called “Atomichavoc,” where he describes his identity in diverse terms like “gender fluid” and “emogothpunk.” His channel expresses strong anti-Republican sentiments and he outlines various groups he rejects from engaging with his content.

Authorities report that Arkand is currently held at the Dickinson County Jail.
