A Nashville man allegedly killed his wife with a hammer in their home on New Year's Day. He then buried her body at a property in another county, police said. fox news digital.
Joseph Glynn, 70, was taken into custody Saturday after authorities discovered the body of his 76-year-old wife, Jackie Glynn, buried six feet underground on their DeKalb County property.

Joseph apparently admitted to police that he fatally beat his wife with a hammer in their home on New Year's Day. The next day, he drove her body to DeKalb County and buried her there.
Joseph then told his wife's children that he had left home because he was terminally ill. WZTV. When Jackie's health care provider stated that the claims were not true, the children began asking questions. However, there were other contradictions in Joseph's words to the children that surprised them.
Authorities eventually found Jackie's car near the couple's property in DeKalb County after they issued a Silver Alert for her. Police later discovered a newly covered hole on the property.
Jackie was later found in a hole 6 feet wide and 10 feet deep, reports said. Her body was stuffed into a plastic vehicle crate and hidden under a pile of roof shingles.
Joseph apparently had a contractor dig the hole on December 16, claiming he intended to use it to burn trash. The hole was dug two weeks before the incident, but it is unclear whether Joseph had been planning the attack that long.
The weapon used in the attack was not disclosed. Police suggest Joseph disposed of the murder weapon at the Keltonburg Community Center, but it has not been disclosed how they discovered this information.
The 70-year-old was soon booked into the Davidson County Jail on charges of murder, abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence.
He is currently being held on $1.03 million bail.
The investigation is still ongoing. The motive for this incident has not been revealed.
