Protests Ignite Outside Trump Golf Club

Early Saturday, tensions rose at a “No King” protest outside Trump National Golf Club in Palos Verdes, where it quickly transformed into a heated shouting match. Demonstrators filled Palos Verdes Boulevard, waving signs and chanting slogans as honking cars passed by, some filled with cheers.

Most of the crowd maintained their calm demeanor, but things heated up when “No Kings” advocates were met by counter-protesters donning shirts that stated, “Deport Liberal White Women.” This encounter led to intense shouting with bystanders joining in, chanting, “Racists go home!”

The tension escalated as the two sides exchanged heated words, though no punches were thrown, despite the provocation. At one point, a protester stepped back and utilized a megaphone to declare, “This man is fighting for illegal aliens,” as another demonstrator was escorted away from the scene.

This rally was part of a larger series of “No King” protests that were being organized across Southern California and beyond, according to reports. It’s estimated that over 3,000 similar demonstrations took place nationwide, with a significant number happening outside urban areas, garnering participation from about 9 million people.

Protesters at the event spoke out about various issues, ranging from President Trump’s perceived authoritarian approach to concerns regarding immigration and mass deportation. Some even protested against U.S. involvement in international conflicts, such as the Israel-Iran war, linking domestic political issues to global consequences.

Saturday’s demonstrations in Southern California were just a slice of the nationwide wave of “No Kings” protests, reflecting a broader collective voice that connected many issues together in cities and towns across the country.
