Terion Arnold set to explore free agency after kidnapping arrest

Some NFL teams seem unfazed by the serious allegations against cornerback Terrion Arnold, who faces charges related to a kidnapping and armed robbery.

Arnold, currently in legal limbo, is “expected” to visit interested teams after being waived by the Lions on Monday, as reported by ESPN.

The Lions released him following his arrest on multiple counts of kidnapping and armed robbery, crimes that could lead to life imprisonment.

He has pleaded not guilty to these charges.

Drafted as the 24th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Arnold appeared in 22 games for the Lions.

His agent, Harvey Steinberg, mentioned that he anticipates Arnold will sign with a new team within a month of his release, noting that three teams have already reached out.

Arnold is labeled as the “principal co-conspirator” in the case involving three victims he allegedly lured to an apartment, which Arnold and several others had previously robbed.

These victims reported over $250,000 in property losses to the police, as stated by the Detroit Free Press.

According to police, Arnold allegedly directed his girlfriend and her roommate to invite three men to his apartment, orchestrating the robbery that followed.

The victims claimed in February that they were forcibly held at gunpoint, beaten, and threatened, leading to their valuables being stolen.

Arnold surrendered to authorities on June 24.

He was released on $1 million bail last Tuesday, but with restrictions preventing him from leaving his Tallahassee home except for NFL activities or court-related matters, as reported by ESPN.

If he does get signed by a team, there’s still a possibility that the NFL might place Arnold on the commissioner’s exempt list.
