Terrifying incident as car veers off road, launching 4-month-old from vehicle during high-speed pursuit

In Arkansas, police have unveiled distressing footage from a high-speed chase that reached 160 mph, which included four young children in the vehicle. One of them—a 4-month-old—was ejected when the car rolled over.

This alarming video from May 24 captures the moment officers attempted to pull over Tyrice Fletcher, 28, in Camden for a traffic infraction, only for him to race away.

Authorities were unaware that children were in the vehicle when the chase began on Route 47 in Ouachita. The pursuit concluded when Fletcher lost control, veered off the road, collided with a utility pole, and overturned, according to police reports.

Footage shows an officer approaching the wreck and discovering a toddler lying on the grass near the smoldering car and toppled power lines.

The officer swiftly rescued the child and placed him safely in the back of the patrol car while his partner managed the scene.

Meanwhile, the other children, all under 6, were eventually located inside the overturned vehicle and escorted to safety, where they received medical attention for minor injuries.

As Fletcher was taken into custody, officers were seen comforting the youngest children and providing them with water. Additionally, a defaced firearm and marijuana were discovered inside the car.

Despite the severity of the crash, the children only sustained minor injuries and were transported via ambulance to Ouachita County Medical Center. Their mother was alerted about the situation.

ASP Col. Mike Hager expressed disbelief over the parent’s reckless decision to flee law enforcement with children in the car, stating, “Thank God no children were hurt.”

Additionally, Capt. Rick Neal from Troop F remarked on the gravity of the situation, saying, “The suspect’s decisions put four innocent victims at risk. He could have stopped at any point during the pursuit.” He noted that the ensuing danger stemmed directly from Fletcher’s actions.

Fletcher, hailing from El Dorado, is now facing various charges, including fleeing, possession of a defaced firearm, possession of a firearm by certain individuals, multiple counts of endangering minors, and reckless driving, among others.
