NYC Subway Stabbing Injures Two
Two men were stabbed in the abdomen on a busy New York City subway train Wednesday morning, according to police reports.
The incident occurred around 7:20 a.m. at Grand Central Terminal during the hectic morning rush hour. Authorities have arrested a suspect identified as 30-year-old Gavin Ferguson, who is accused of stabbing the two men before fleeing the scene. He now faces charges of attempted murder among others.
Witnesses described a chaotic scene where passengers appeared frozen in shock as the attack unfolded. The police noted that one victim, aged 28, suffered a stab wound to the abdomen, while the other, a 32-year-old man, was also stabbed in the abdomen.
Video footage analyzed by law enforcement suggests that Ferguson cornered one of the victims multiple times before carrying out the attack. The bystanders watching must have felt an overwhelming mix of fear and disbelief.
Emergency medical services arrived quickly, transporting both victims to the hospital, where they were reported to be in stable condition following surgery.
As investigations continue, the suspect remains at large, and police are urging anyone with additional information to come forward.
