Car Crashes into Crowd in California, Leading to Chaos

A chaotic scene unfolded over the weekend in San Bernardino County, California, when a vehicle barreled into a crowd gathered outside a bar, triggering a shootout that sent patrons scrambling for safety.

On Monday, the Redlands Police Department reported that four individuals were hospitalized following what is believed to be an attempted vehicular homicide early Sunday morning.

The incident reportedly began just before 1:30 a.m. as an argument erupted among several people outside The Underground, a popular bar and restaurant.

One of the participants fled in a 2022 Tesla but returned moments later to hit four individuals standing in the street in front of the establishment, according to authorities.

The driver lost control after the collision and struck a curb, though they sped away from the scene, leaving behind a trail of fluid.

Following this initial incident, an unidentified suspect drawn into the conflict fired a gun multiple times, resulting in shattered windows at one store and damage to another door, police reported. Fortunately, they confirmed no one was shot during the exchange.

However, the four victims of the hit-and-run sustained significant injuries and were transported to a local hospital for medical care.

As of now, no arrests have been made related to this incident.

Bruno, the owner of the business that suffered window damage from the shooting, noted that this isn’t the first time such disturbances have occurred in the area. According to reports, the downtown Redlands location is known for frequent altercations, often described as a hotspot for those ejected from other bars.
