‘Tesla Takedown’ Movement Plots ‘Day of Action’ Against Elon Musk

The Tesla Takedown movement, which organizes protests against Elon Musk and his role in the Trump administration, is preparing for the biggest demonstration planned around the world this weekend on Global Action Day.

USA TODAY Report The backlash against Tesla takedown movement, Elon Musk and involvement in the Trump administration and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) are urging protesters to sell Tesla vehicles, dump stocks and join the Picket Line in front of Tesla locations around the world. The movement's website declared Saturday, March 29th as “Global Day of Action,” with dozens of protests planned in the United States, the UK, France, Germany, the Netherlands and more.

According to the Tesla Takedown website, the movement opposes the alleged “illegal coup” of Musk and the use of Tesla's fate to “destroy our democracy.” The organizers stressed that the protest was intended to be peaceful, saying, “Tesla Takedown is a peaceful protest movement. It opposes violence, vandalism and the destruction of property.”

The planned protest came amid a significant decline in Tesla's stock value, falling nearly 40% since December, down from $500 per share to about $270. This decline in value coincides with an increase in vandalism targeting Tesla dealers and vehicles across the United States.

Despite the Tesla takedown, it claims to be a domestic terrorist attack against Tesla and car owners, despite claiming it is a peaceful move. Recent incidents include the discovery of a burnt Cen device at a Tesla dealer in Austin, Texas, and “target attacks” that include a Molotov cocktail and a gun at the Tesla Clash Center in Las Vegas. In February, a Tesla dealer in Loveland, Colorado was demolished for the third time this year, windows were destroyed, cybertruck windshields were painted, and the words “Nazi car” were painted on the vehicle.

Members of the Trump administration, including President Trump himself, have tried to support Musk and Tesla amid global backlash. Attorney General Pam Bondy has released accusations against three individuals of “the violent destruction of Tesla's property,” warning people who will face prison time in “this wave of domestic terrorism on Tesla's property.”
