The automaker provided 336,681 vehicles in the first quarter, down from 386,810 units a year ago. Based on the average estimates of 15 analysts from the visible Alpha, Tesla was expected to offer around 372,410 vehicles in the quarter.

Protests broke out with Tesla dealers in the US and Europe over cases of vandalism in Tesla vehicles. FBI director Kash Patel posted on X that the incident involving the attack on Tesla owners is being treated as “domestic terrorism.”

Critics have also questioned the focus on Musk's Tesla, given his time leading the Trump administration's government efficiency (DOGE) and campaigning for his favorite political candidate.

Tesla's leading EV manufacturer is projected to be the first to surpass Tesla's 15.3%, replacing China's BYD, which is projected to achieve a 15.7% market share in Gollone EV sales, for the first time.
Sales in major European markets fell in March, with the decline in France and Sweden continuing for the third consecutive month.

Tesla is proposing plans to launch a low-cost model based on existing platforms this year, but has yet to release specific details about the vehicle.
Launched in late 2023, Tesla CyberTrack has seen soft demand due to concerns about polarized trapezoidal design and quality after a series of recalls.

Dan Ives of Wedbush Securities Analyst said in an investor's note that this is a “folk of the road moment” for Musk.
“This continues to be a true moment for Musk to navigate this brand's tornado crisis moment and to reach the other side of Tesla on the other side of this dark chapter,” Ives writes.

“The Musk needs to stop this political fire and stop Balance from Tesla's CEO Doge,” he said.
Tesla shares fell about 1.5% in late-night trading on Wednesday.
