Irving police are searching for suspect Oved Bernardo Mendoza Argueta, 37, in the deaths of two people killed in a shooting Wednesday afternoon.

Around 3:50 p.m., police received a report of a shooting at the Chick-fil-A restaurant in the 5300 block of North MacArthur Boulevard.

Police say when officers arrived on scene they found two deceased victims.

Police initially did not provide a description of the suspect, but now report that Argueta left the scene in a hurry before police arrived and was last seen driving “a silver 1997 four-door Honda with license plate number GVH-6205.”

Irving Police are advising people not to approach Argueta and to call 911 immediately as he is an extremely dangerous individual.

Officer Anthony Alexander spoke to media at a press conference after the shooting. In response to a question about the location of the shooting, Officer Alexander reiterated the restaurant’s address without directly naming it, saying, “Out of respect for the business, I’m not going to say any more.”

Police said it also appears to have been a targeted attack.
