Texas A&M University baseball coach Jim Schlossnagel has apologized after two fans were ejected from the game after they were seen yelling toward the Gators dugout during the top of the second inning of the College World Series game between the Aggies and the University of Florida.
The two fans, wearing Texas A&M jerseys, were reportedly referring to the Gators batboy who died in 2021 after his father allegedly killed his two sons, then committed suicide and set his home on fire. The boy, who was 11 at the time, had a family who were friends with University of Florida coach Kevin O’Sullivan, and the fans were reportedly directing the insults at O’Sullivan.
Schlossnagle began his press conference by wishing those celebrating a Happy Father’s Day, but quickly condemned the actions of two fans after the team’s 3-2 win over the Gators.
