Deputies in Texas are searching for a burglary suspect and his possible lookout after a failed home invasion attempt that was caught on video.
The attempted break-in occurred around 4:30 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Culebra and Garm roads, known as the west side of the San Antonio metropolitan area, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook.
A man, described as “a stocky Hispanic man with a mustache, glasses, and tattoos on both forearms,” can be seen approaching the door of the home. The video shows him noticing the front door camera and appearing to hold his hand over it in an attempt to control its features.
The suspect was seen knocking on the door of the home and pulling on the security door. When no one answered, he tried to pry it open using what the deputy called a “lever.” When his attempt proved difficult, he turned and looked at someone before returning to his work.

“What do you want?” the suspect asked the alleged lookout when he was unable to open the door. He returned with his thumbs up and tried to pry open the door.
The suspect then heard someone inside the home start screaming, walked away from the door, signaled the alleged lookout to be quiet, and then began running.
