Texas cosmetology teacher and her son accused of recruiting troubled students into child sex trafficking ring

Kedria Grigsby, 42, was fired from her teaching position at Klein Cain High School and placed on administrative leave as a result of the heinous accusations.

Prosecutors said that as officers searched the motel room for evidence, one of the boys fled through the front door and got into a silver car that police believe was driven by Grigsby. Investigators said there was at least one other victim inside the car.

Police said they obtained evidence that Zell’s payments were used to transfer money between Grigsby and her son. They also allegedly obtained text messages between the two about prostitution payments, as well as messages sent to the alleged victim.

Klein Independent School District officials said Grigsby passed a background check when he was hired by the school in 2019.

“Law enforcement has notified us that hairstylist Kedria Grigsby has been taken into custody on felony charges of sex trafficking and forced prostitution. Grigsby was charged with three counts of felony child trafficking and three counts of forced prostitution of a juvenile, and was sentenced to $750,000 bail.

McGee was arrested on similar charges in 2022 and remains in prison. Ms. Grigsby lived with her husband and two children.

Police have said they may file additional charges against Grigsby if more victims come forward, and Gonzalez said other witnesses have already come forward to say the teacher tried to recruit the victims. said.
