Texas doctor accused of being serial groper banned from American Airlines

A history of suspected inappropriate behavior has been revealed after a North Texas doctor was accused of exploring women on an American Airlines flight last week.

According to court documents obtained by Fox News Digital, 55-year-old Cherian Abraham is accused of inappropriately touching a woman on March 18, 2025 during a flight from Chicago to Seattle.

On Monday, Abraham was arrested after a federal investigation into allegations that he touched the woman's breasts without consent while on a 2076 American Airlines flight from Chicago to Seattle.

An American Airlines spokesman told Fox News Digital that Abraham was no longer allowed to fly with them.

“We will work closely with law enforcement to investigate allegations of fraud on board aircraft,” an airline spokesperson said.

“The safety of our customers and team members is our number one priority. We take this issue very seriously and we work closely with law enforcement on our investigation,” the statement read.

Law enforcement officials interviewed Abraham after the flight. They said he denied touching the woman intentionally and claimed it was an accident. Abraham also argued that there was no history of similar accusations against him.

Abraham is a physician at the Gastroenterological Health Center at North Richland Hills, and is accredited by the Gastroenterology Board, according to the Medical Center website.

When Fox News Digital asked about his arrest, the medical center declined to comment.

Court records revealed this was not the first time that they had been accused of inappropriate behaviour during the flight.

The first accusation came in October 2023 after another woman reported that Abraham touched her legs three times before telling him to stop. The woman reported Abraham's unnecessary behavior to the flight attendant, but the charges did not sue.

No claims have been filed against Abraham yet, but according to the FBI complaint Retrieved by Dallas Morning News, Officials have discovered “possible causes” that Abraham committed an abusive sexual contact crime.

Abraham was then released with bonds with appearances subject to several conditions, the outlet reports. This includes certain travel restrictions and surrender of current or expired passports.
