The Texas man reportedly asked Google, “Can I kill illegal people?” The officer said before massacring his undocumented fiance and making the crime scene look like a suicide.
According to an arrest affidavit, 31-year-old Tyvaughn is accused of shooting Louis Banos Norbert in the face on Jan. 14 at a Baytown apartment just outside Houston. Retrieved by ABC 13.
Vaughn stayed freely two months after Norbert's death, allegedly concerned about the text with his fiance, and interviewed the media before being arrested.
“I wasn't really great. When Vaughn was asked if he spoke to Norbert on the day of the murder, I wasn't actually asking the police for an answer.
When the ABC13 reporter expressed sadness, he replied, “I mean, that's what it is.”
Vaughn told the police the couple had been arguing the night before and he left their apartment. He said he returned at 5:30am and found Norbert dead in his bedroom, the affidavit states.
Norbert's body was lying on a bed with bullet wounds in one side of his eyes and a rifle supported by one side of his arms.
Torn photos of Norbert and his suspicious murderer were found nearby.
“My spouse is dead. Help. My life is over,” Vaughn told the Dispatchers on a 911 call.
However, officers say the shooting happened 90 minutes ago, and Vaughn was at home at the time.
Surveillance footage shows Vaughn walking up the stairs to his apartment at 4:05am.
Twenty minutes later, Vaughn texted the notebook belt. Notebelt said he was already dead. Baby Why are you not texting? ! ? ! ”
In the interview, Vaughn repeatedly stated Norbert's status as an unprovoked, undocumented immigrant, the affidavit states.
When police searched Vaughn's phone, they discovered he Googled it: “Can I kill illegal people?”
Vaughn is taking place on $500,000 bonds.
