A mother of three in Texas was shot and killed by her husband on Christmas Day in an apparent suicide while her three children were inside the house.
Houston police were called to a residence on Gracila Street on Dec. 25 at approximately 10:15 p.m. When they arrived, they found a man and a woman dead in an upstairs bedroom. Police said both men died from gunshot wounds.
Local news outlet KPRC2 identified the victims as 34-year-old Fanny Uresti and her 43-year-old husband Roberto Hernandez. Their identities are still awaiting formal confirmation by the coroner.
Houston homicide detectives said the couple's three daughters, ages 6, 9 and 14, were inside the home at the time of the shooting.

One of the children told police that his parents argued and then heard several gunshots. No children were injured in the shooting.
The couple had reportedly been dealing with marital problems before the shooting. According to a police report obtained by KPRC2, just 11 days before the shooting, Uresti filed a police report claiming that her husband was following her and preparing for her divorce. submitted.

Uresti's mother told the outlet that the couple had argued before and that Hernandez had pulled out a gun and threatened her.
She said her son-in-law has “obsessive” tendencies.
