Kamala Harris Maintains Public Presence After 2024 Election Loss
Following her significant defeat to President Donald Trump in 2024, Kamala Harris has been actively working to hold on to her public image. Whether it’s through Democratic events, talk show appearances, or promoting her latest book, Harris consistently echoes the sentiment of “I told you so.”
Blaze TV host Sarah Gonzalez remarks that this appears to be an effort to undermine the Trump administration. She highlighted several moments where Harris claimed she foretold current events under Trump, frequently using the phrase “I told you so.”
For instance, during the 2025 Major Women’s Definition Summit, Harris stated, “There were a lot of things I knew were going to happen… I’m not here to say, ‘I told you so.'” Similarly, at Reverend Jesse Jackson’s Celebration of Life service in March 2026, she mentioned, “I pretty much predicted what’s happening now. I’m not here to say ‘I told you so,’ but we saw it coming.”
Harris’s frequent references to her predictions have even led some media outlets to cheekily label her book tour as the “I Told You So Tour.”
However, with the popularity of this tagline coming into question, Harris seems to be reconsidering her stance. At a recent World Summit in Austria, when asked about her catchphrase, she claimed, “I don’t say ‘I told you so.'” This has surfaced her apparent inconsistency.
Sarah expressed amusement at Harris’s double standards. “I’m curious about what she has to say ‘I said,'” she noted during a discussion with guests Davey Jackson and Adam Johnson. Jackson pointed out that the phrase wasn’t resonating well in polls, leading to the advice for Harris to abandon it.
Moreover, Jackson found humor not just in Harris’s contradictions but also in her adeptness at “code-switching,” remarking on how her tone and delivery shift dramatically depending on her audience, like the difference between her speech at Jesse Jackson’s funeral and her appearance on Stephen Colbert’s show.
“Hearing her laugh and babble was just wild,” he added.
