Taking place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, the show stumbled right from the start. It was delayed by almost half an hour due to a prolonged NFL game featuring the Baltimore Ravens and Dallas Cowboys. And if that wasn’t frustrating enough, raw footage leaked online before the live broadcast.

Madonna kicked off the performances. She brought along Sabrina Carpenter, Charli XCX, and Julia Garner to enhance her act. Initially, she seemed confident, but soon after, her balance faltered during the routine.
She was up for 13 awards, winning seven, though the experience was hard to watch at times.
Her acceptance speeches were shaky, filled with awkward comments and moments where she seemed unsure of which award she had just won, struggling to complete her thoughts. At one point, she leaned on others for physical support while speaking.

In one of her remarks while accepting the Artist of the Year honor, she humorously mentioned, “First of all, I would like to thank my fingers, because I can always count on them.”
She went on to make a cringe-worthy joke about pulling a laser light from an unexpected place and then confessed to losing track of which award she was accepting after snagging the Best Dance category. Throughout the evening, she frequently lost her train of thought.
