Like many Americans, Pat Gray, Jeffy, and Keith Marinak are feeling a little better in the wake of Donald Trump's victory. His victory means hope for this country.
Trump expressed just that sentiment of hope in his speech after his historic victory over Kamala Harris.
“I fight for you, your family, and your future. Every day I fight for you. And every time our bodies take a breath, our “I will not rest until we have the strong, safe, and prosperous America that our children and you deserve. This will truly be America's golden age,” he told the roaring crowd.
He also drew attention to the monumental achievement of his victory, which he credited to his supporters.
“This is a political victory unlike anything our country has ever seen. … I want to thank the American people for the extraordinary honor of being elected our 45th president.”
His speech also referenced the Republican control of the Senate.
“America gave us an unprecedented and powerful mandate and we took back control of the Senate. Wow, that's nice. …Montana, Nevada, Texas, Ohio, … Senate races in states like Wisconsin and Pennsylvania were all won by the MAGA movement,” he added.
“Yeah!” exclaims Pat, unable to contain his excitement.
But perhaps the line that resonated most with his supporters was when President Trump said, “We don't have to live like this anymore.”
“It was a great line, it was great,” Pat says.
“It really resonated with me and I loved it,” Jeffy added.
