If left to Caddary Richmond, St. Johns will win the Big East regular season title on Wednesday.
He has no pleasure in the possibility that it will happen against his old school in the yard on Saturday.
Johnny's magic number clinching the crown is two. Any combination of victory and Clayton's loss.
However, the Blue Jays hosted the league's Doormat DePaul on Wednesday, but with seventh-placed St. John's (24-4, 15-2) visiting Butler, he said against early MSG's Seton Hall. Odds occur.
“I wish it was someone else,” the Red Storm star guard said Tuesday via Zoom.
Caddary Richmond is fighting through injuries.
“I did a lot of good things over there, Richmond said.
“The things I celebrate in front of them and all of that stuff aren't on my to-do list, but it does.”
The 6-foot-6 Richmond deals with pulling in the gro caliber of each leg, but plans to play against Butler.
The gro caliber has been bothering him since his victory over Providence on February 1, but he hasn't missed the game.
He still doesn't intend to sit down.
RJ Lewis, which was hindered by a gro caliber injury, is expected to be available as well.
He missed out on a victory over DePaul last week, but returned on Sunday with a Connecticut victory.

“We started this all as one, so we're going to complete it all as one,” Richmond said.
“If that's not to the point where I feel like I have to sit or miss something, I'm there.”
