Tobey Mac has collaborated with Mandisa on several songs, such as “”.loss my soul,“”Bleed the Same,” and “good morningdescribed the late singer as “honest” and “genuine.”

The popular faith-based series ‘The Chosen’ also paid tribute to Mandisa by posting her song ‘Get Used To Different’ which was featured on the show’s Christmas special.

Mandisa (full name Mandisa Lynn Handley) made it to the top nine on American Idol in 2006 before starting her career in contemporary Christian music. Her first album, True Beauty, reached No. 1 on the Billboard Christian Album Chart, and her last two albums, Overcomer and Out of the Dark, also reached number one on the Billboard Christian Album Chart. It was a hit as well.
She also published a book, Out of the Dark: My Journey Through the Shadows to Find God’s Joy, in which she opened up about her battle with depression.Additionally, Mandisa co-hosted the podcast Out of the Dark with Mandisa and Laura Williams.
As content creator and openly Christian Terrace Crawford pointed out, Mandisa has publicly chosen not to be defined by her accolades.
