The existence of the deep state can no longer be ignored, and Tulsi Gabbard is the reason why.

Revisiting the “Deep State” Concept

The term “deep state” has often been brushed aside as a fringe idea. However, recent revelations, particularly two key documents declassified by Durham and highlighted by Senator Chuck Grassley, suggest there’s more to this notion than mere conspiracy theories.

These documents detail a network of bureaucratic institutions, contractors, nonprofits, and media organizations that function almost autonomously.

It’s noted that the “Deep State” operates as a self-propelling machine – a complex, decentralized bureaucracy that fosters an ideological alignment among its members.

The information shared goes beyond recounting past misdeeds. Instead, it provides a blueprint illustrating how manipulation of impact is strategized and executed on both national and international stages.

What these documents uncover isn’t just an underground operation but a systematic framework capable of influencing elections, stifling dissent, and distributing controlled narratives across various sectors including intelligence, academia, and media.

Decisions from the Top

A crucial event unfolded on December 9, 2016, when national security leaders were called to the White House by the Obama administration, according to a report by Gabbard. This group included figures like CIA Director John Brennan and others from the FBI and Department of Justice.

During this meeting, the prevailing belief that Russia hadn’t interfered in the election was quickly sidelined. The intelligence community was directed to prepare an assessment at the president’s request, framing Russia as an adversary and positioning the incoming candidate, Donald Trump, unfavorably. Notably, there were no claims that new evidence had surfaced; the initiative was politically driven rather than based on factual intelligence.

This strategy laid the groundwork for the Intelligence Community Assessment in 2017 regarding Russia’s election interference. By this point, U.S. intelligence agencies had shifted from being impartial fact-finders to actively shaping public narratives aimed at undermining the new administration.

Institutional and Media Collaboration

The ODNI Report, along with the Durham Annex, outlines a feedback loop where intelligence is funneled through think tanks and NGOs, using media as a form of “independent verification.” Key players in this cycle include the CIA, FBI, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, and various law firms and nonprofits.

Institutions such as the Atlantic Council and the Carnegie Endowment played roles in disseminating narratives that, according to the Durham Annex, were part of Clinton’s strategy to associate Trump with Russia. These organizations, while pretending to maintain academic neutrality, contributed to the spread of these stories.

Interestingly, on the same day as the White House meeting, the Washington Post published an article titled “Obama Orders Review of Russian Hacking During Presidential Election,” signaling the start of a media campaign that echoed and amplified the collusion narrative throughout the transition period.

Surveillance and Control

Surveillance practices that were once confined to foreign intelligence evolved into abuses of FISA warrants. The Steele Dossier, financed by the Clinton campaign through various channels, served as a justification for monitoring Trump’s associates, despite its dubious veracity. The FBI adapted its processes to make such surveillance easier.

In 2020, a similar pattern emerged when 51 former intelligence officers labeled the Hunter Biden laptop story as “Russian misinformation.” Interestingly, polling indicated that a significant majority of Americans believed that truthful coverage of the laptop could have influenced the election. The suppression of that story, which has since been validated, constituted blatant election interference.

A Living System, Not Just a Theory

The Deep State is depicted not merely as a figment of conspiracy but as a robust, self-reinforcing structure – a decentralized bureaucracy where members share common ideological goals.

Each component, whether it’s law firms, think tanks, or newsrooms, has its own set of plausible deniability. However, collectively, they erode the legitimacy of elections and create a web of influence that can steer national policy without genuine democratic input.

The ODNI Report and Durham Annex are indicative of the first cracks in the defenses surrounding this entity. They unveil not just old political scandals but the ongoing mechanism of elite coordination that demands exposure, conflict, and, ultimately, dismantling.
