The joy is gone: A liberal hate-fest for the holidays

“May Trump supporters, Trump voters, and Trump himself never know peace.”

These words were uttered by Disney's New Snow White actress Rachel Zegler shortly after half the country, or approximately 77 million Americans, voted for Donald Trump.

It's liberal hatefest season!

Just a few weeks ago, Kamala Harris and her supporters were rallying the nation to: Choose “love over hate.” That “fun” is no longer there. It's liberal hatefest season.

Anger is returning as Washington prepares for the inauguration.

During the first Trump administration, liberal servers and restaurant owners vowed not to serve Trump officials. now,Washingtonianreports on Trump administration plans to resume harassment of employees.

Zach Hoffman, a manager at the National Democratic Club and a “D.C. restaurant veteran,” told the magazine that mistreatment of conservatives is natural and understandable. Don't throw the drink in his face? ”

One bartender said President Trump “in theory… [have] I have the power to take away your rights, but I have the power to make you wait 20 minutes for your main dish. ”

Susannah Van Looy, a server and manager at the Buchart Saloon in the Capitol, declared that she would no longer serve some Trump administration officials. “It's not, 'Oh, we hate Republicans,'” she says. “This person has moral beliefs that strongly disagree with mine, so I'm reluctant to serve them.”

After BuchertVan Rooy fired.

This hate campaign is familiar to conservatives. Many will remember when White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and her family were kicked out of the Red Hen Restaurant in Lexington, Virginia. Some were refused service or kicked out of restaurants, and Democratic lawmakers like Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) supported the harassment.

For restaurants that don't complyred hen modelthe reaction was similarly unstable. Maria Luciano owns the DC Pizza restaurant. After the election, she posted a message of congratulations to President Trump on X to encourage everyone to come together as a nation. The Democratic response was furious.Filled with vows toboycottDrive restaurants out of business.

It's not just service and civility that Washington lacks. While accusing President Trump of putting political and personal interests above the nation, Biden nowreportedlyHe is moving to veto a bipartisan bill to ease pressure on an overwhelmed court system.

The Judges Act, supported by both Democrats and Republicans, would add 66 new judges to an overburdened court system. The White House supported the bill until just before Trump won the election. Some Democrats are still trying to get the White House to change its mind, but liberals clap The veto is expected to be “to prevent President Trump from increasing the number of vacancies.''

If Biden carries out his threat, it would not only be unjust, it would be illogical. The bill intentionally staggers the addition of judges over the next 10 years, presumably to allow presidents of both parties to appoint judges. Additionally, the Senate remains closely divided, and “blue slips” (allowing senators to keep some nominations) remain in effect.

More importantly, the reason is bipartisan effort Because it is a pressing need for our courts. Judges are drowning in caseloads as the number of cases increases. In 2004, the number of cases pending in district courts for more than three years was 18,280. This year, the number is 81,617.

If justice delayed is justice denied, then our court system has become a tar pit of injustice, leaving litigants without judgment or relief for years.

The intended veto language stripped away any pretense that the White House would put the public interest above politics. If the veto is exercised, anger will take precedence over reason.

inside me recent books, We talked about how addictive anger can be. People don't like to admit it, but they like to be angry. Sometimes people choose madness as a release from reality. It provides legitimate license to step outside the bounds of decorum and decency. This would allow people to harass Republicans in restaurants and shout profanities outside their homes.

This would allow the president to say he could block the appointment of judges to a struggling court system simply because he doesn't want his successor to make the appointment.

That's why, according to an Emerson College poll, 41 percent of adults under 30 believe it is justified to kill others, including medical executives.

Even after the election and during a holiday dedicated to peace and understanding, we can't seem to shake this anger addiction. One liberal site, Crooked Media, is actually selling holiday items featuring the violent extremist group Antifa. Antifa is one of the most anti-free speech groups in history, routinely attacking journalists, speakers, and conservative protesters.

Crooked Media site created by former Obama staffers Jon Favreau, Jon Lovett, and Tommy Vieter We are selling There are Antifa items for liberals, including Antifa costumes for young children and “Antifa Dad” shirts that seemingly glorify political violence.

Like last year's eggnog, joy, bipartisanship, and civility all seem to have expired. Even Disney's new Snow White seems to have taken a cue from the Evil Queen and treated this election as a “.”A gust of wind that fuels my hatred

And we haven't even had an inauguration yet.
