Creative Projects Flourish During Lockdown
During the lockdown brought on by the coronavirus pandemic, many filmmakers sought ways to express their creativity. This led to the rise of the popular social media account, “Creative Description.”
Armen Adamjan recently discussed his efforts with Fox News Digital, focusing on reducing waste through DIY projects. “I create life hacks, tips, and tricks to help simplify life,” says Adamjan. He boasts an impressive following: about 10 million on Instagram, 7 million on TikTok, and an additional 4 million on YouTube.
DIY Inspiration from the Pandemic
Adamjan found his creative spark during the pandemic, drawing on his 12 years of filmmaking experience. “I felt just as lost as everyone else, but I needed to create something. I remember, while cutting green onions, I realized people often throw away the roots,” he shares. “But if you plant them in some soil or even just water, they start to grow. I thought, why not share this on TikTok? I posted it, and the next day, it had 117,000 views!”
Since then, Adamjan has continued sharing hacks across various social media platforms. “It felt like a whole new journey for me discovering these hacks. I mean, I was genuinely excited.”
Connecting Generations Through Creativity
His videos resonate with viewers of all ages. “I love hearing stories, like a grandma sharing advice with her grandkids, who in turn share it with their parents.” Adamjan points out that the feedback he gets is overwhelmingly positive. Many viewers express gratitude, especially parents delighted that their children are engaging in these DIY projects.
“My approach is simple: I identify a problem, find a solution, and explain it creatively,” he explains. “That’s what I do—everything is creatively explained.”
Adamjan hopes to spread a positive message through his content, especially in a world where negativity often dominates social media. “While some creators feel the need to comment on troubling global issues, I want to stick to my niche. If it’s cooking or hacks, I focus on that and aim to bring light rather than dwell on negativity.”
For those interested in seeing more, Adamjan will be featured on “Fox & Friends” on Monday at 6:50 AM ET.
