Trump’s Administration Defends Actions Against Rep. McQuiver
On Tuesday, during an appearance on FNC’s “Hannity,” Tom Homan, a key figure in Trump’s border policies, stood firm on the administration’s criticism of Rep. Lamonica McQuiver (D-NJ) regarding an incident outside an ICE detention facility in New Jersey last week.
Homan emphasized that he and President Trump have been direct in their approach to law enforcement.
“This era of nonsense is behind us,” said host Sean Hannity, echoing the president’s sentiments. “What’s your take, Tom?”
“The president doesn’t play games,” Homan responded. “Neither do I. Once I took office, I began to address ICE and border patrols seriously, and my support for sanctuary cities didn’t waver immediately after that. ICE can’t violate laws,” he added.
“I’ve reiterated this countless times,” he continued. “I stand by those statements. President Trump is serious about this. We’ve been held accountable already by two judges. Now we face this council. They have broken the law, and that’s the truth. No one is above the law.”
