The Simpsons clip goes viral after fans left shocked by Mr Burns’ ‘awful’ voice

Fans of The Simpsons are shocked by how Mr. Burns’ voice sounds on the show’s latest season.

The FOX series has been running for over 30 years, and as a result, much of the voice cast is much older than they were when the first season aired.

Mr. Burns is not always played by the same actor; the late Christopher Collins was the first to play the iconic role.

Harry Shearer then took over and also voiced characters such as Principal Skinner, Kent Brockman, Waylon Smithers, Ned Flanders, and Reverend Lovejoy.

Shearer, now 80, continues to voice the character in season 35, and a clip from the latest episode went viral for all the wrong reasons.

Fans have claimed that Burns’ voice is completely different than before, with many pleading with Fox on social media to “let the show rest in peace.”

“Burns’ voice is just a brutal man. Let these guys retire in peace,” said one fan.

Another said: “Didn’t expect how bad this was going to be. Sounds like a fan dub,” while another added: “Omg this is really bad!”

Since Shearer makes a whopping $300,000 per episode, it’s not hard to see why Shearer wouldn’t leave the role.

Meanwhile, last year fans claimed that the show might have predicted the disappearance of the Oceangate submersible, which was exploring the ruins of the Titanic.

In the past, the animated TV show seemed to predict bizarre historical events that actually happened, such as Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential election and Queen Elizabeth’s death.

“Burns’ voice is just a brutal man. Let these guys retire in peace,” said one fan.

And last month, it was revealed that Larry the Barfly would no longer be around after 35 years on the iconic cartoon show.

His first appearance was in the first episode of the Christmas-themed The Simpsons in 1989, Roasting on a Bonfire.

In the recent episode, “Cremains of the Day,” it was revealed that Larry had passed away, and Homer, Moe, fellow barflies Lenny, and Carl went on a road trip to scatter his ashes.
