Adrienne Shropshire began her political career as a community activist in California, focusing on police accountability, economic justice, and youth empowerment in her South Los Angeles neighborhood.
In 2016, Shropshire founded BlackPAC, an organization dedicated to educating and mobilizing African-American voters. Through her work, she has designed programs that have engaged hundreds of thousands of voters and helped pass progressive policies across the country.
In this week’s Switch Up Election series, Shropshire discusses the most pressing issues for Black voters ahead of November, areas where Black Americans have had success over the past four years, and the challenges that still need to be addressed.
