The terrible Fanatics MLB uniforms are going to put the balls in baseball

Fanatics MLB’s new uniforms have been one of the biggest stories in baseball over the past few weeks, and for good reason. The quality of new apparel is incredibly poor, and that goes for not only the fan replicas, but the player versions as well.

So when the Mariners released an innocuous video of Cal Lowry telling a dad joke, no one could pay attention to the punchline because there was a much bigger distraction.

Yes, this is displayed correctly. No, the photo has not been edited. The new Fanatics pants are see-through so you can see the hem of the shirt through the fabric. It’s not hard to see where this is going. If you can see the hem of your white shirt through the paper-thin fabric, our frontal lobes will be hit with dampers and thumpers this season.

If something isn’t done to fix this pant before the season, here’s what we’ll learn: much more About our favorite players. What’s worse is that those clean, dry pants are so see-through. What happens if you sweat a little? Every day is going to be an MLB wet t-shirt contest. I only say that to avoid using the term “wet pants,” but the fact remains.

I can’t believe these made it through testing and into production without anyone pulling them out and saying they “looked awful”. This is an ongoing disaster, so we’re waiting to see how Fanatics and Nike respond.
