The top Yankees prospects invited to big league spring training

The Yankees spring training goal is this year's World Series, but they can get a glimpse that they want them to be their future.

Some of the top prospects of the club will have the opportunity to be impressed by the major league camp for at least a few weeks. Among the first non -Rostar invitations are the young infielder George Rombard Jr., Rodelick Arias, Catcher Rafael Flores, and Relly Bar on the right release. The second high -end prospects, which were invited, include outfielder Spencer Jones and Chase Hampton on the right.

On Wednesday, the Yankees announced that 26 players invited a camp to camp to 65. Most of them were already reported, but the invitation of prospects was attracting attention.

Lombard (19 years old) and Arias (20) are quite out of the pedigree. Lombard was a first -round pick -up in 2023, praised last year in Low Autumnpa and Hudson Valley in his gloves and base running (39 steel in 110 games). Arias was a jewel of the Yankees of the 2022 international signature period and climbed last Season.

Flores was not drafted in 2022 and broke out last year, hitting 21 homers, and posting .875 OPS in 122 games in Hudson Valley and Double A Sama Set. Leiselman, the fifth pick in '22, was unable to get from the roukee ball to the summer set last year, with 38 innings at 1.16 ERA.

Many of the attention of the camping prospects are directed to Jones and Hampton, which is about to jump back from performance and injury.

Jones, a physical amazing surprise of large speed, power, and height (6 feet-6), gained momentum from a promising camp in 24 years and attacked 200 times in 122 games. Hampton, the sixth pick, which appeared in 2023 in 2023, was technically invited to a camp last year, but immediately reduced flexor tension and later treated the injury of the GRO diameter, only 18 last season. I pitched the inning.

Among the other prospects invited, last year, TJ Rumfield, an infielder who owned 0.826 OPS in 114 games in Triple A Scranton/Wilksbar, is TJ Rumfield. Righty Cam Schlittler carried 3.36 ERA in 25 games between Hudson Valley, Sama Set, and SWB. And last year, Kevin Stevens on the right, which hit 56 in 39 innings in Sama Set.

The Yankees claimed the right -ended Owen White of the royal infielder, Breden Shoe Makeup and Reds on a busy day of the roster, and specified the right Alan Winan for appointment.

One minor league option remains on both Shewmake and White. The list of 40 Yankees is full.

The 27 -year -old Shewmake was the 21st in the 2019 draft. The short stop/three BASE hand/two BASE hands have participated in 31 games with Braves and White Socks in the past two years. He spent most of last year on the minor league injury list.

The 25 -year -old White has pitched Rangers and seven major league innings in the past two years. In the second pick in 2018, White bounced off between rotation and bullpen in a last -time triple A and pitched 5.64 ERA in 99 innings.

A few weeks ago, the Yankees claimed Winan from Braves.
